Stylometric analysis

Simon Gabay

Stylometry is a statistical approach to text content. In particular, it enables the so-called "distant reading" of works, which has established itself as a new way of apprehending content for researchers in the humanities, but also has judicial applications. While the effectiveness of this method opens up new horizons in the human sciences and beyond, it is not without its problems, both technical and ethical, when it comes to identifying the author of a text.
