Data Science For All is intended for students, PhD candidates, teachers, and administrative staff from all faculties and departments at UNIGE.
DSFA, what is it?
DSFA is a platform of educational video capsules designed to explore the most diverse and fascinating aspects of data science. It offers the opportunity to learn according to one's interests through in-depth content. With an interdisciplinary approach, the platform features speakers from all faculties at UNIGE.
How does it work?
There are four major domains in data science: data collection/production, data management, data analysis, and scientific communication. Each of these domains requires mastery of specific skills. Video capsules introduce the challenges and opportunities related to each of these skills separately.
Following each capsule, you will find in-depth content, in the form of online courses available without registration, online workshops, or other online resources. It's up to you how deep you want to delve!
For what purpose?
For a long time now, data science has not been limited to the hard sciences. Every discipline, every faculty at UNIGE now incorporates aspects of this field into its curriculum, whether studying numbers, text, audio, images, or even videos. DSFA's capsules are here to raise awareness of this reality and to offer everyone, regardless of their academic background, the opportunity to dispel the myths and receive training in this field.
