Multi-agent systems inspired by nature

Multi-agent systems are part of the distributed artificial intelligence research branch. They are useful both for modeling complex systems and for developing digital systems with embedded autonomous software agents. This video describes various modeling cases (dictyostelium, tree canopy growth, impact of streetcar development in Geneva), as well as use cases for agents in artificial systems (swarm robotics, intelligent electrical grids).
