The Data Science Competence Center (CCSD) of the University of Geneva is pleased to invite you to the first edition of the Data Science Tools.
Data Science Tools is a new meeting format launched in October 2021, where a researcher presents a data science tool (method, software, etc.) he/she uses in her/his research.
For this second edition, our speaker will be Jonathan Chambers, from the Institute for Environmental Sciences.
Abstract: Jupyter notebooks in python are already popular for research. This has produced a rapidly expanding and maturing ecosystem of tools. This talk will show how the same tools can be used from early exploration all the way to product development in the context of industry innovation and technology transfer project. The case of an innovation project for an interactive geospatial tool for planning of urban heat networks will be used.
Data Science Tools sessions take place online and last no more than 30 minutes (15 minutes of presentation and 15 minutes of discussion).
